 Opera House

2236 Seats

The Opera House is mainly used as a large-scale mirror-framed stage for operas, large-scale plays, dances, and cross-discipline performances. There are also two similarly sized stages to the left and right of the main stage. The total area of the orchestra pit that can be raised and lowered in front of the stage is about 80 square meters. It can be used by a full orchestra for large-scale operas such as Richard Strauss’ Der Rosenkavalier. The stage machinery is designed by Waagner-Biro of Austria and controlled by large-scale computers. The audience seating is set in a horseshoe-shaped arrangement, where the first floor is divided into four sections separated by a low wall, and the horizontal lines along the second and third floor double-deck booths bring coherence and rhythm to the atmosphere.
