Artists Introduction
Clarinet|LIU Kai-ni
Kai-ni graduated from Detmold University of Music in Germany. In 2000-2001, she won consecutively in the Deutsche Musikrat Wettbewerb and National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition. From 2003 to 2005 she worked for the Macau Orchestra. After returning to Taiwan, she was invited to serve as a guest clarinetist for the NTSO, KSO, and NSO. Kai-ni is the founder of the "Sen Trio d'Anches" and clarinetist of Taiwan Connection Chamber Orchestra. She teaches at the National Tainan University of Arts.
Viola|CHIANG I-chun
Recipient of the Chi-Mei Arts Award (music category) and a second-rounder in the Primrose International Viola Competition, Dr. CHIANG I-chun earned her Doctoral degree at CCM of University of Cincinnati under Masao KAWASAKI and Catharine Carroll LEES. Dr. CHIANG has been the Principal Viola with the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra, the violist of the Dakota Quartet, and viola instructor at Augustana College and Tunghai University. She is currently on the faculty at the General Education Center of National Pingtung University of Science and Technology.
Piano|SU Hsiu-wen
SU Hsiu-wen received her Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance from the University of Texas at Austin, where she studied with Gregory ALLEN and was a scholarship recipient. As an active solo and collaborative artist, Dr. SU has performed in several cities in the U.S. and Europe. Dr. SU is an Assistant Professor in the music department of National Pingtung University in Taiwan.
