You-xin and Chong-wen, two junior high students, have their own loads on their mind.

In You-xin’s extended family, her parents always have conflicts with her grandfather. In a family that is always filled with tension, You-xin can only work off her worries by writing; Chong-wen who is raised by his  grandmother has always been entangled with the same nightmare since a young age. He had never seen his father or heard of his story until he found a pile of dated letters of his mother at home. He then began to work out the puzzle of his own identity.

One day, rumors spread in school that a schoolmate went missing near the canal. Chong-wen told his classmates about his nightmare under their inquiries. The class was surprised and in commotion. In the midst of the chaos, You-xin’s desk was pushed over by accident and a pile of anonymous love letters fell off from the drawer. You-xin fled from the crowd and the classroom in shame. What do these letters and the nightmare tell about the stories of these individuals, their families, and the community?

Philosophy Fridays@Kaohsiung

by Café Philo-style discussions which characterize the cultural scenes of Paris, Philosophy Fridays was founded in Taipei in August 2010. It then expanded beyond the capital city, with Philosophy Fridays@Kaohiung launching its first event in August 2013. Amour Theater Company

in February 2014 in Kaohsiung, Amour Theater Company is committed to localization of artistic practices within socio-cultural contexts, seeking to establish multiple, organic relationships between performing arts and local communities. Its production often explores issues of history, class/ethnic/gender identities and collective memories, inviting the local communities, through their theatrical experiences, to reflect on life and participate in social action.

Sun Yat-sen University: Social Engagement Project

Sun Yat-Sen University is currently working on social practice activities in neighboring communities. Through the practice of the university's social responsibility, it is committed to Caojing District within Qianzhen of in the Xinwan District of the Old Port, to re-create and nurture local identity, and to strive for educational innovation. Let local residents, especially primary and secondary school students, be able to let them be willing to stay and return to the place thy born.
