《Beings》
The two performers, Yeu-Kwn Wang and Yin-Ying Lee, they are male and female; husband and wife; choreographer and dancer. Should the two individuals’ roles be defined? Who are Yeu-Kwn Wang and Yin-Ying Lee? What do they represent? Underneath these social-defined relationships, is there any other possibility between them?
This piece attempts to deconstruct different roles under certain social-cultural context. By utilizing various organic medium, this piece is searching the potential of contemporary reading and writing in performing arts, and mining the imagination of body before language is even shaped.
《The Rest》
After a long day from working, at dinner we continue to talk about work, either to get a better job, better bonus or ways to gain recognition. We know life’s not easy. These days, by working day by day under modern society, we also talk about our existence at table. For bread, family, freedom, a better future and simple dignity we struggle with life. The leftover dishes meals (think half piece of Pizza) remind us of our own situation, while our topics are more often about the minimum wages and the cost of living…We find it’s even more difficult to define our statement of being. We are in the most productive world system that Karl Marx claims to be based on exploitation. Aren’t we?
《THE WALL》
A family living in the house build between the borders, all the members have to choose which nationality they’re going to be during the next seven days because of their divorce.
And a disabled youtuber’s visiting, she reveals the inside walls of everyone’s minds in the family, including the on-site customs.
At the same time, these stories will present in the art museum, and the audience will observe them like walking through different exhibition spaces. In the nonlinear narrative timelines, audience will see the walls stand between people and government, sex and love of gays, public and disability communities, fantasy and dreams, and each individual.
A story of rhapsody, trying to bring up the possibilities to break these walls, no matter which side you’re stand for.
