Liuqin artist, Prof. Chen Yi-chien, an associate professor in the Chinese Music Department of National Taiwan University, and the artistic director of Contemporary Artistics Ensemble, plans to hold a solo concert in 2020. Many Liuqin creative works will be brought to it, including “Liu-shu” by Korean famous composer Prof. Lee Chi-sun, “1008” by Guo Min-qin and “Like Lightning” by Chiang Chun-tien, “Qian,” modern Chinese classic Liuqin work, by Hu Yin-yue, “Impression of Lianchih Tan” and “ Tou Cheng Old Street,” two creative works by Chen Yi-chien. In this concert, well-known composer Tang Wei-ting was invited to create Capriccio on the Tang Dynasty Dance “Garment of Rainbows and Feathers,” which is customized for Liuqin. Tang will also make the debut of it with Prof. Chen to present the fusion of multi-culture and try all kinds of possibilities of Liuqin's tone color to bring about the abundant and diversified performing skills and vivid musical expression.
