Bespoke impromptu performances that integrate literature, theater, dance and art.

Commemorating the 2021 International Day of Consultations on September 19, Weiwuying's international partner Théâtre de la Ville de Paris will be providing large-scale art consulting events on the Jardin Nelson-Mandela. As the only collaborating venue in Asia, Weiwuying is arranging "Art Consultation Day" on the same day, welcoming audiences to experience the "therapeutic power of art" at Weiwuying.

After a brief opening session, our art consultants will select and read poetry, play musical instruments, make drawings, or stage impromptu opera or dance performances for the audiences. The Crown Hall on the 3rd floor and the Crown Terrace (West) will also be transformed into a relaxing space filled with flowers and plants, welcoming audiences to join in the event and enjoy poems read in Mandarin, Taiwanese and French.

About the Project

When many European cities went into lockdown due to the pandemic, Weiwuying's collaborating partner Théâtre de la Ville de Paris initiated the "Poetic Consultation by Phone" in March 2020, which turned out to be a huge success. As European and US cities gradually regained normalcy in May 2021, the project has developed into a physical event organized in gardens, squares, and other public spaces within Paris during weekends, while the contents of the event have also expanded to include music, dance, and science. With the active promotion of Théâtre de la Ville de Paris and the positive response from collaborating international venues, the consultation event originally based on poetry reading has blossomed into a global project including various artistic performances.

  Notes to participants:  

• Each consultation session is about 20 minutes, and each slot is limited to 1 audience. (Parents and children or family members can participate together).
• Each person is limited to one registration, and cannot be changed after confirmation.
• Successful applicants, please report to the site 10 minutes before the session; we will release the session to the waiting list if you have not yet registered 5 minutes before the start of the event.
• Please note that this activity may involve personal privacy, your information provided is at your own distraction.
• Weiwuying will carry out photo and video documentation on site. Participants are required to sign an undertaking to authorize Weiwuying to shoot, produce and broadcast the event video to release the rights for non-profit promotion purposes.
• The organizer reserves the right to change this event as necessary.
