During the 4 days' program, it will give participants the tools to scale up their current experience through practical exercises, taught activity and peer learning, based on case studies and led by experienced Factory International and Manchester International Festival producers, regarding the following module:

Paul CLAY
\nInternational Director | Factory International
Paul joined Manchester International Festival in 2012 as Executive Producer where in addition to the companies own productions he looked after the company's international work, and managing other major works not seen at the Festival (including the world tours of 'Bjork Digital' for the artist Bjork and River of Fundament for Matthew Barney). In 2018 Paul established the new International team for MIF and now leads on Factory International's work around the world.
\n\nPaul's experience in the arts spans more than thirty years working in executive, producing, and technical positions for companies such as The Almeida Theatre London where in the 1990's he production managed the company work, including a number of West End and Broadway transfers and International tours; Plymouth Theatre Royal (creating large scale musicals for touring and the West End), English National Opera (leading the production team) and the Royal Exchange Manchester (as Executive Director).

Michelle ROCHA
\nHead of Touring | Factory International
Michelle is the Head of Touring at Factory International. She also a Board Member of Quarantine (theatre company). Previously, she was the Producer (Music and Outdoor) at West Kowloon Cultural District (HK) and has worked at the Wales Millennium Centre (UK) for the 2012 Olympics, the Hong Kong Dance Company, Lushington/ Live Nation, the Hong Kong Museum of Art and the Hong Kong International Jazz Festival and is a Clore Fellow.

Sally LAI
\nFacilitator of the Training Program | Factory International
Sally LAI's career has been underpinned by a commitment to international collaboration.
\n\nShe trained as a contemporary art curator and has worked in the cultural sector for over 20 years. Sally is currently Arts Advisor to the Robert H. N. Ho Family Foundation Global, an international philanthropic foundation. Previously she was the Director of the Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art (2008-2014). Other organizations she has worked for include firstsite, Arts Council of England, London, the Culture Team of London 2012, The Wellcome Collection. She has written for international art journals, presented a feature length program for BBC Radio 4 on the artist Li Yuan-Chia.
\n\nShe has served on the board of Attenborough Arts Centre, University of Leicester, Atlantic Project, Centre for Contemporary Art and the Natural World, Black Artists and Modernism. Sally was awarded a fellowship on the The Clore Leadership Program in 2005/6 and is an alumni of the Executive Program for Nonprofit Leaders - Arts, Stanford University.
\n\nSally facilitated Manchester International Festival's previous International Producer Training Programs in Hong Kong, Russia, Canada and South Africa.
