【2023 Weiwuying Children's Festival】La petita malumaluga - The Moon in a Pot
"The little ones, among so much magic, feel like touching the moon". ——TV3
"Poetry fills the space".——La Vanguardia
Night is falling. The moon slowly ingests the light that the sun has painted during the daytime, itself becoming plumper and brighter. The moon keeps sinking towards the ground……
In fairy tales as well as myths, the moon often comes across as mysterious. Created by the world-famous La petita malumaluga, The Moon in a Pot fuses live music, dance, and theater, inviting audiences young and old to dance to the beat of the music and the light, and to embark with the moon on a most lyrical journey of the soul, as parents and children spend some sweet, intimate time together.
Keen on tackling all kinds of subject matter and versed in dealing with artistic details, La petita malumaluga has long been working to promote interactive creations, for children between 0 and 3 and their families. This production inaugurates the company's first attempt at a new interactive installation, where a cruciform stage incorporates projectors and more than fifty light bulbs that detect up-and-down movement, giving rise to an immersive theater experience, transforming poetic language into a magical narrative.
