Program Highlights and Featured Experiences
Performances will be enhanced with other instruments, special lighting effects, and informative explanations, which will make the organ's diversity and charm more accessible and understandable to the audience. In addition, the programs boast two unique features:
- The first is that they will be Close-up Shows—the stage will be transformed into a seating area to give the audience an even closer experience with the organ.
- The second is the Musical Chairs aspect: members of the audience will be permitted to get up and move to other seats between pieces of music to try out different perspectives and get an idea of which seats they would like to reserve for future performances.

Experience 300 years of organ music, from BACH to today. The first Explore the Pipe Organ event of 2026 will bring us the vigor of composers spanning the past 300 years. The first and last pieces are BACH's Toccata in d minor and a toccata by WIDOR, both of which are extremely technical showcases of organ music evolution over 200 years. In between those are piece after piece of sentimental, beautiful works, including one originally written for piano by RACHMANINOFF, songs of inner contemplation by modern composers, and the lingering melody of BACH's Air on the G String.

Join the organ on a colorful spring adventure of sounds and surprises. Now that winter is almost over, the organ is ushering in the warmth of spring! This is followed by solos from BRAHMS and FAURÉ, a trumpet piece by PURCELL, a hymn by MOZART, PRICE’s violin solo Adoration, and two contemporary pieces written for the organ, exhibiting its diversity. The final piece, To God Be the Glory, is yet another duet of the two most beloved keyboard instruments.

Its history with the trumpet is especially longstanding. The two will come together for three pieces: BACH's Organ concert with Trumpet, a Baroque piece; Canadian trumpeter RONDEAU's arrangement of TELEMANN, a contemporary interpretation of Baroque style; and Norwegian organist BJØRNEBOE's Høytidsmusikk For Trompet Og Orgel, with its Scandinavian sentiment. In addition, classic solos by BACH and WIDOR will be performed. The Concert Hall's vineyard-style seating is the perfect place to enjoy the resonance of the trumpet!

Step into a dream world of movie magic and timeless melodies on the organ The organ's varied timbres and complex harmonies bring rich variety to its narrative, turning legends and dreams into reality! On the organ, ZIMMER's score for the film Interstellar creates a sense of the profound boundlessness of space, the catchy theme songs from three Disney classics bring fantasy to life, and the Taiwanese classic Spring Breeze blooms in a new way. The opener, Carillon de Westminster, will resonate with Taiwanese audiences, as it is played at schools to announce the beginning and end of classes.

6/24(Wed)14:30 The Storybook of Notes ※Musical Chairs | |
Let the organ tell its stories, where every note paints a picture. Though musical notations are just a bunch of black dots on paper, performers magically wield them to inspire vivid imagery in the audience. This month's music are perfect examples of that power. Some, such as BACH's Fugue in g minor, SHOSTAKOVICH's Waltz No. 2, and GÁRDONI's: Mozart Changes, have no designated subject, allowing the imagination to run freely. Others, TCHAIKOVSKY's Nutcracker Suite and PRICE's "An Elf on a Moonbeam," come from stories, their titles alone evoking imagery. You'll love these organ-narrated stories!
J. S. BACH: Fugue in g minor, BWV 542 D. SHOSTAKOVICH: Waltz No.2 from Suite for Jazz Orchestra No.2 Zsolt GÁRDONYI: Mozart Changes F. PRICE: An Elf on a Moonbeam P.r I.
