2026 Weiwuying Training Program for Theater Technicians
To enhance the training and skills of technicians, Weiwuying is handing the reins of the 2026 Training Program for Theater Technicians (basic and workshop courses) to the Taiwan Association of Theatre Technology (TATT). The basic course consists of units on general theater education, safety, and basic theater technology, which are aimed at establishing fundamental concepts of theater operations. The workshop courses differs from that of previous years because of the difficulties would-be trainees have taking time off work for several days for the course. To make it accessible to more trainees, it has been divided into separate courses on specific topics, and participants may register for only those they are interested in instead of having to complete the entirety of all courses. The courses will offer in-depth training on lighting, the stage, and audio technology to boost participants' practical capacity and technical know-how so they may offer better technical support for live theater productions.
As experts in the field share their knowledge, trainees will be given opportunities to learn hands-on to firmly grasp what they have learned in the classroom and boost southern Taiwan's overall capacity in the theater technology realm.
If you want to get into behind-the-scenes theater work, come join us for the 2026 Weiwuying Training Program for Theater Technicians!
