\nCranko created Romeo and Juliet in 1962 for the Stuttgart Ballet with Marcia Haydée and Ray Barra in the title roles. For the last 50 years, the company has danced this ballet all over the world. In addition, Cranko's production has entered the repertory of many companies worldwide, including the National Ballet of China, the l'Opera de Paris, the National Ballet of Canada, the Australian Ballet, the Finnish National Ballet and the Ballet of the La Scala Opera House in Milan.

Stuttgart Ballet
\n\nBallet in Stuttgart has a rich history whose origins go back to the 17th-century court of Württemberg.
\n\nIn 1961, John Cranko was appointed director and choreographer of the ballet in Stuttgart, and a new era began. In the ensuing twelve years Cranko was not only responsible for the most successful chapter of Stuttgart's ballet history, but also joined the ranks of eminent 20th century choreographers.
\nThe breath taking level of technical skill and the stylistically broad repertoire of the Stuttgart Ballet not only attracts audiences, but also dance talent from all over the world: more than 22 nationalities are represented in the company. To this day, the Stuttgart Ballet tours consistently worldwide.

Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra (KSO)
\nKaohsiung Symphony Orchestra expands as well as its repertoires by visiting different venues and space, and producing non-traditional performing arts close the audiences, as well as building up an unexplored arts population. More in the recent 2018 season, KSO has appeared in various opening programs of National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts -Weiwuying , the largest performance venue in Taiwan. All the performances earned KSO highly- acclaimed applause.
\nThis concert will be conducted by YANG Chih-Chin, the principal conductor of KSO. YANG obtains very great success in performance from the public by his passion of music, rich orchestral color control capabilities, excellent rhythm, and faithful interpretation of the score.
