【2022 Taiwan Dance Platform】Their Stories - Daylight
Their Stories-Daylight is a work in which drama and bodily expression abound. Tainan-born choreographer LAI Tsui-shuang collaborated with 11 amateur performers to put together this work using both representational and non-representational approaches that mirror the vulnerabilities and fragility of different periods of the performers' lives and support the process of self-exploration. Fragments of stories are connected through the interweaving of time and space, while the music is alternately melancholic, soft, dark, harsh, poetic, or introspective in a reflection of the storyline and the performers’ personality traits. The music parallels the highs and lows of the stories, adding a deeper layer of interpretation.
The performers of Their Stories-Daylight have been invited to reprise the piece on the Taiwan Dance Platform in 2022. Originally designed for the theater, it will be re-tooled to fit the open stage at Weiwuying's Banyan Plaza, where the audience can see the performance, which depicts a journey of the past, present, future, and the self, from multiple angles.

They have been welcoming professionals from various backgrounds with high interest and skills in dancing from the day of the establishment. They release new choreography every year. They have also been making new and refreshing pieces as a guest choreographer for dance groups and art associations both domestically and internationally; they also promote dance art whole-heartedly.
